![]() ![]() Even then though I feel this was done better with having the player never shown in artwork or never having dialogue, etc. I felt this was a lot more genuine, being the whole point of the story and not just some tacky twist. I bring this up because of Kamui and the player character. Entirely unnecessary as well, didn't need an explanation as to why Big Boss survived Outer Heaven or any of that. Revealing that mute Snake is actually a random field medic who's only been in one scene throughout the entire series is just a slap in the face to me. About how it's apparently a thank you to the fans.no, just no. Not only in that the story remained unfinished but also the whole medic thing being the out of place bookend that for some reason Kojima gets praise for. Have to give a spoiler warning for MGSV and the Metal Gear series in general here but I feel it's applicable. That and it has a lot of show, don't tell. Some major differences being the amount of dialogue - I think because of this K7 falls a bit short in character development, perhaps due to time constraints, but then I also feel it was good to redirect and focus the story elsewhere during development. Even so, they are extremely similar thematically and stylistically to the point where it's hard to choose which I like better. I can't really fault SC for that since its by design, I just prefer to have gameplay. In comparison to this, I still favor K7 due to it having actual gameplay to it. NMH holds a special place but ultimately Killer7 became my favorite. I started with No More Heroes so I've had a long time to play most of the company's titles. So, aside from all of that, what did you all think? I imagine most here are already Grasshopper fans, though new fans aren't totally impossible. Of course I'd already gone through Flower Sun & Rain anyway so there's the stuff in that game too I already learned about. I mean sure there were tons of smaller details I never would get and a lot of my initial impressions turned out wrong but the ending definitely felt like the mind♥♥♥♥ it turned out to be. Kind of regretting it now too since it spoiled the end for me. ![]() ![]() Guess I figured it would never be translated and decided I still wanted to experience it at least. I kind of can't believe I played through the Japanese version, with how much of a novel it is, and just months before it was announced to come to pc. I'm not sure how crucial Placebo is, I hear it's more just supplementary but I'll probably go through it tomorrow. I just finished the game, or rather, the Transmitter part anyway. ![]()
